At Earthen Cove, We Believe

1. Your hands hold quiet magic — when you make something, you’re also making space for yourself.

2. You don’t need to be an artist to create — just a little curiosity and a willingness to begin.

3. Your home should reflect who you are — not a trend, not a template, but your story in every corner.

4. Design works best when it listens to your life — how you move, how you rest, how you grow.

5. You deserve a community that sees you — one that celebrates your small wins and holds space on the hard days.

6. Sisterhood means showing up for each other — with encouragement, honesty, and a little bit of cheer.

7. You don’t have to rush — life, like art, unfolds layer by layer, in your own rhythm.

Have you ever rearranged a corner, made something with your hands, or added a little detail —
just to feel more at ease in your space?

We all do it, in small, quiet ways —
because deep down, we’re wired to shape our surroundings, to bring comfort, meaning, and beauty into the place we return to every day.

At Earthen Cove, we’re here to walk with you —
as you shape your home, find your creative rhythm, and bring your art to life.

We are

A home for women who love to design, make, grow.

Founded by architect and maker Arikta K., Earthen Cove was born out of a simple belief: true design begins with understanding — of space, of self, and of the small, meaningful details that shape daily life.

  • Through home design, hands-on art workshops, and a creative community that supports without judgment, Earthen Cove helps you shape a space — and a life — that feels like yours.
  • Here, we support you in:

— Designing a home that’s not just functional, but personal — grounded in how you live, move, and grow.

— Making with your hands — through art sessions that spark joy, ease stress, and connect you back to your creative core.

— Connecting with others — through a growing community where ideas are shared, questions are welcome, and no one creates alone.

Whether you’re building a home, finding your creative rhythm again, or starting something entirely new — we’re here for it.

At Earthen Cove, we believe in thoughtful design, honest making, and growing little by little, at your own pace.

Let’s build something beautiful, together.

My Journey so far

The Beginning

It almost feels like architecture was woven into me right from childhood.

I remember building little hideouts — draping sheets over tables, making tent-like spaces in the backyard, or even using two umbrellas to create a shaded play zone. I often played alone, and maybe that solitude is what led me to imagine, build, and shape spaces just for myself.

My father has always been a creative inspiration to me. Watching him build, fix, imagine, or simply make things better with his hands left a deep impression. Those moments shaped my eye for detail — and planted the seed for the kind of architect I’d become.

Years later, I stepped into architecture school, full of big dreams. I imagined designing skyscrapers, futuristic townships and megastructures, and grand, luxurious spaces. That was my idea of success — big, bold, and impressive. But the curriculum during those years left little room for exploration or imagination. It was rigid, mechanical, and far removed from the kind of creativity that had drawn me to architecture in the first place. Slowly, I felt my spark fading — the joy of building, imagining, and creating began to feel distant.

Still, with a tiny belief of finding the way back, I’m here today, I’m still an architect — just of a different kind. One who now sees that architecture is so much more than just visuals and scale.

It’s about how a space feels. How it holds us. How it becomes part of our daily lives, quietly shaping who we are and grows with us as we grow.

The Pause

After graduation, I dove into architectural practice — working on real homes, meeting real people, and understanding real-life needs. It was exciting, challenging, and full of learning.

Every site came with its own set of stories, and every client taught me something new about how we live, adapt, and grow.

Slowly, I began to see that architecture wasn’t just about spaces — it was about the lives unfolding within them. I realized that no matter how detailed or well-planned a project was, there was always something missing — a certain softness, a lived-in quality, a flexibility that drawings couldn’t always capture.

I noticed a quiet gap. A gap between the spaces I designed as an architect, and the ever-changing, deeply human needs we all have from the place we call home.

That pause made me rethink everything.

The Shift

That questioning led me to reimagine what Earthen Cove could be.

Yes, it’s still an Architecture design studio — but now, it’s more than just that.

I believe the gap between design and real life can begin to close when we actively engage the people who live in those spaces — helping them shape their homes in ways that reflect their needs, their stories, and their everyday life. With just a little support, they can do more than they think.

As I continue to grow professionally — deepening my design skills and embracing tools — I’ve also made space for something equally important. That’s where The Artisan Hour was born — a space for hands-on making, reconnecting with creativity, and enjoying the slow, satisfying process of crafting something with your own hands.

And it’s where Your Village began to take shape — a community space for women who are shaping their homes, launching creative ideas, or simply figuring things out, little by little.

The Future

I don’t have a fixed blueprint for where this journey leads — and honestly, I like it that way.

There’s something deeply peaceful about not knowing what the future holds, while placing full trust in God. It feels like the best place to be.

Maybe this grows into a network of women-led businesses, built through mutual support and shared ideas.

Maybe it becomes a space where mothers and children create side by side — learning real skills and making lasting memories.

Maybe it quietly reshapes how we see home — not as a finished product, but as a living, breathing part of who we are.

Maybe we’ll come across entirely new opportunities, unimaginable at this moment.

Whatever it becomes, I’m here for it — with a deep desire to walk with you, to help you create, design, and grow in a way that feels honest and sustainable. This is your space as much as it is mine.

You’re welcome here — in all your layers, your creativity, your unfinished projects, and your quiet courage.
